The Compliance & Documentation Lead plays a pivotal role in defining the future of compliance in the EV charging industry. This role demands a blend of expertise in global certifications, a knack for digital-first strategies, and the foresight to integrate compliance into our DNA through automation and innovative practices. You will be the architect of our compliance framework, ensuring it not only meets current regulations but also anticipates future trends and requirements. In addition, you will be the gatekeeper for our internal documentation and files.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Compliance Leadership: Craft and execute a dynamic compliance strategy that aligns with chargEV's vision for growth and innovation. Lead the pursuit of global certifications, including ISO, and tailor compliance frameworks for regional market needs.
  • Document Organisation and Controls: To strategise and organise the company documentation and Sharepoint folders to be scalable, future proof, easy to navigate and intuitive.
  • Digital Transformation of Compliance: Harness the power of technology to revolutionize compliance management. Implement cutting-edge tools and platforms that automate compliance processes and any license expiry, ensuring they are woven seamlessly into daily operations.
  • Regulatory Excellence: Stay ahead of the regulatory curve, identifying and interpreting regulations that impact the EV charging sector. Develop strategies to navigate these challenges, turning potential obstacles into opportunities for leadership and growth.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to embed compliance by design across all aspects of our business. Foster a culture of proactive compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Education and Advocacy: Serve as a compliance evangelist within chargEV and the broader industry. Develop educational programs that empower our team with the knowledge and tools to excel in a regulated environment.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in compliance roles within technology, automotive or related sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Advanced degrees or professional certifications in compliance (e.g., CCEP, ISO Lead Auditor), digital transformation, or related fields.

Skills & Experiences:

  • A must to be familiar with Sharepoint and Microsoft 365 applications. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in navigating global certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and audit compliance within the technology or EV sectors. 
  • Ability to interpret and operationalize complex regulations across different markets, particularly in Southeast Asia.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive compliance strategies that align with business objectives and drive growth. 
  • Experience in risk management and mitigation planning.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration to embed compliance into diverse business processes.
  • Very detailed with strong project planning, organizing, documenting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage various projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High English proficiency written and spoken is a must. 
  • Proven track record in leading digital transformation initiatives within compliance frameworks. 
  • Experience in leveraging automation, AI, and other digital tools to streamline compliance processes, reduce errors, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • High level of proficiency in digital tools and platforms related to compliance management and documentation. 
  • Familiarity with cloud-based document management systems, compliance software, and data analytics tools.
