Analyst, Corporate Finance
Job summary
Yinson Production operates in a capital-intensive industry and Corporate Finance plays a pivotal role in executing its financing strategy. The Analyst works in an international, multi-cultural and deal-driven environment alongside experienced corporate finance professionals as an integral part of project- and transaction teams. The Analyst assists in the origination, structuring and execution of financings along the capital structure and the ongoing management of financing arrangements and related activities as well as the assessment of investment opportunities, including asset acquisitions and M&A transactions.
Key duties & responsibilities
• Assist in the monitoring of financing arrangements, covenants, cash flows, financial risks and valuation throughout the asset and financing life cycle as well as the reporting to and communication with the relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in the structuring, origination and execution of project- and corporate financings, including providing support in the negotiation and documentation of term sheets, financing agreements with lenders and investors, and assist in the preparation of closings
• Support the team in the day-to-day operations, projects, transactions, data management, and the management of internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in the evaluation of new projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as business development, projects, operations, accounting, tax and legal, review charter contracts and other commercial agreements
• Assist in the evaluation of investment opportunities, participate in the due diligence process and gather, consolidate, analyse and summarise financial data and other relevant information
• Build accurate and robust financial and valuation models
• Prepare internal and external reports, presentations and other communications
• Perform any other task that may be assigned from time to time
Requirements:
• Experience in corporate or project finance, investment banking or private equity gained through internships or an initial full-time role
• Strong analytical skills, a general understanding of accounting, legal, tax and finance aspects, knowledge in investment analysis and valuation, the international energy markets, and the international financial markets, and the ability to learn quickly
• Basic financial modelling skills in Excel and proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• A systematic approach to complex problem-solving, combined with a solution-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, ambitious, hardworking and proactive with a hands-on mentality; a strong team player with the ability to engage effectively with others and perform under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, international environment
• A good degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance or equivalent from a recognised university; a postgraduate degree and/or a professional qualification such as CFA are considered an advantage
