Junior Procurement Officer
Job Summary:
The Junior Procurement Officer plays a key role within the Supply Chain team and reports directly to the Procurement & Logistics Lead Supply Chain NL. This is a hands-on, operational procurement position that requires accuracy, ownership, and a proactive mindset. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to support and execute procurement activities across the organization.
The role is ideal for a junior buyer supply chain, or someone with experience in a similar purchasing role, who enjoys being close to the business and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will be supported and coached by the team lead to further develop your skills and grow within the procurement function
Responsibilities

Execute procurement, logistics, and expediting tasks as required

Handle office-related purchasing and liaise with relevant departments

Ensure compliance with HSEQ responsibilities related to own work

Maintain procurement records and follow up on procurement activities

Prepare, verify, control, and close procurement-related documentation

Sort, compile, and distribute requisitions, contracts, orders, and modifications

Confirm and record receipt of goods and services
-
Monitor procurement documentation and provide accurate reporting

Enter and update all orders in the purchasing system

Keep management informed of relevant matters related to procurement or office needs

Work in line with the YP Management System and internal procurement policies

Ensure timely and accurate execution of procurement processes in collaboration with the Procurement & Logistics Lea
HSE Responsibilities

Observe and report any unsafe activities or conditions

Apply the company’s 'Stop Work' policy when neede
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent work experience)

Fluent in English; Dutch preferred (Portuguese is a plus)

Proficient in Outlook and Excel, organized, responsible, and punctual

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across all levels of the organization

Comfortable working under pressure and handling multiple tasks

Committed and reliable team player;able to work independently while remaining collaborative
- Positive and flexible work attitude; takes ownership of deliverables and ensures follow-through
