Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

Job Description:

• Strong knowledge of FPSO control and safety systems, including ESD, PSD, PCS and F&G system principles, as well as software logic configuration such as ESD/PSD hierarchy, cause-and-effect diagrams, P&IDs, voting logic, fail-safe design, system redundancy, PID controller tuning and control valve characteristics.
• Good understanding of high- and low-voltage power generation and distribution systems, including AVR, digital governors and manual synchronization principles.
• Experience with Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS), including Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
• Knowledge of Critical Alarm and Action Panels (CAAP), Fire & Gas detection systems and alarm management systems.
• Familiarity with power management systems, including protection relays, generators, transformers, motors, soft starters, variable frequency drives (VFDs) and UPS systems.
• Working knowledge of radio equipment, internal communication systems, Public Address and General Alarm systems (PA/GA), IT server and LAN infrastructure.
• Understanding of engine room equipment and gas and liquid fiscal metering systems.
• Experience with PLC-based control systems, such as Generator Control Systems, Boiler Control Systems and Radar Tank Gauging Systems.
• Familiarity with field devices, including transmitters, control valve positioners, analyzers, solenoid valves and valve position indicators such as proximity switches.

Qulifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
• Familiarity with hazardous area classification standards and equipment requirements, including ATEX, IEC and other applicable standards.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Minimum five years of experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, preferably within an oil and gas process plant environment.
