Core Responsibilities
Maintain, repair and ensure interrupted operation of distributed control systems.
Area of responsibility includes all electronic control systems, including monitoring systems, safety systems, information technology and communications
systems.
Duties
Perform condition monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting of Control Systems, IT and communication systems.
Perform software maintenance of all relevant systems.
Assist with instrument maintenance and calibration functions.
Responsible for Password integrity of all Control systems. Assign system access levels.
Administrate Control Systems, Information Technology, and communication systems modifications requests under management of change procedure.
Ensure sufficient stock of spare parts for Control Systems, Information Technology, and communication systems.
Liaise with other departments for coordination of maintenance activities.
Liaise with Control Systems service provider and onshore Electrical & Instrument and Information Technology support.
Follow PTW system, rules, regulations, and work procedures applicable to his responsibilities Familiar with the Computerized Maintenance Management
System. Prepare required reports.
Ensure that vendors and contractors are managed safely and effectively.
Undertake training relevant to the position requirements.
Responsible for cyber security issues on board.
On-the-job-training of colleagues and trainees.
Member of Emergency Response Team.
Authority
Delegated authority by Senior Electrical and Instrumental Technician (SEIT).
HSE Responsibility
Responsible for maintaining a high degree of awareness;
Lead by doing; setting an example for others;
Actively participate in Company HSEQ reporting program including Observation Card.
Observe and report any unsafe activates, conditions or situations;
If you observe anything unsafe use the "Stop Work" Policy
Qualifications
Instrument Technician with Offshore or Onshore Petrochemical Production Plant operation
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry. HNC/HND Engineering or relevant field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in automation and instrumentation systems - including considerable practical experience in troubleshooting control and safety
systems for offshore facilities.
High standard of technical and professional knowledge of DCS and Safety systems hardware and software.
Electro-electronic education at higher level
2 years’ experience as an Instrument Technician with Production Plant operation
Standard of competence according to Yinson Competence Assurance Matrix
Very good English written and spoken.
