Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring that day-to-day activities are carried out in a healthy and safe manner and that the impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits. Also responsible for keeping his workplace clean and organized, responsible for the proper use and proper storage of all material tools, instruments and equipment used in his activities are in good condition and with valid calibration/certification. 

Plan, execute and report the inspection work through relevant technique and reassessment of the integrity of the equipment and piping systems, during the design, construction, installation and operation, in accordance with schedules, procedures, maintenance philosophy, national regulations and international standards, aiming to guarantee operational continuity.

In an absence of the Integrity Technician may be demanded to carry out safety device calibration with orientation of Maintenance Supervisor and/or ONSHORE Integrity Engineer.

The Equipment Inspector’s work area is the topside, deck and engine room. 

Duties

  • Internal and external inspection (where applicable) of boilers, NR-13 categorized and non-categorized pressure vessels and piping systems, static equipment (part or SPIE accreditation requirements)
  • Internal and external inspection (where applicable) of safety devices (pressure safety valves, rupture disk and other) for the protection and control of static equipment in general
  • Conventional non-destructive test (ultrasound thickness measurement – UTM, dye-pen – DP examination, magnetic particle – MP examination) on pressurized equipment (integrity assessment purpose), structure or welding repair (quality assurance purpose)
  • Report the inspection tasks to assure the proper tasks registers, traceability and historical of equipment under control
  • Management of the inspection routines such as planning, scheduling, controls spreadsheets, procedures, inspection devices, calibration certificates
  • Integration with the others company/ offshore departments to ensure the well management of the inspection matters
  • Support the onshore Integrity Engineer in all matters related to offshore facilities integrity    

HSE Responsibility

  • Responsible for maintaining a high degree of awareness;
  • Lead by doing; setting an example for others;
  • Actively participate in Company HSEQ reporting program including Observation Card.
  • Observe and report any unsafe activites, conditions or situations;
    • If you observe anything unsafe use the "Stop Work" Policy
