Responsibility
The Marine Operator shall be responsible for the running control of the stability of the Ship, its position and draught, and shall assist
in the stability calculations. The Marine Operator is responsible for ensuring that own day-to-day activities and those of peers, are
carried out in a safe and healthy manner and that the impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits.
Specific Duties
Always keep informed as to where supply vessels, stand-by vessels and helicopters are located, and shall keep records of this
information in the ship’s logbook.
Monitors on the cargo and ballast control panel.
Monitors the inert gas pressure and oxygen content of cargo tanks.
Monitors all marine alarms and carry actions in accordance with instructions.
Check that ballast and cargo valves are function properly. The check will be logged in the vessel's logbook. Faults discovered
with valves in the ballast and cargo system to be reported to the Lead Marine Operator.
Carry out the duties and tasks as specified in the Emergency Response Plan
Follow-up as required for PTW issuing, execution and closure of it.
Ensure that stability calculations are made daily
Furthermore, the Marine Operator shall carry out such work as has been required by own superior and carry out duties as per
documented Company Procedure, including administrative or operational activities.

Responsible for maintaining a high degree of awareness.
Lead by doing; setting an example for others.
Observe and report any unsafe activities, conditions or situations.
If you observe anything unsafe use the ‘Stop Work’ Policy.
Qualifications
General education, certificates and experience:
Regarding units in navigation, this professional shall have an endorsement/seaman’s book complying with STCW rule II/1 and
the title of Deck Officer;
Regarding units in operation, this professional shall have an endorsement/seaman’s book complying with IMO Circ.
A.1079(28) – item 6.4, as well as the title of Ballast Control Operator;
Experience from tankers and/or mobile unit
Fluent English
