Responsibility

The Production Control Room Operator shall keep continuous watch in the process control room and be in charge of the running control of the production process. The Control Room Operator is fully responsible for carrying out own activities in a safe and healthy manner and that the impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits.

Duties

• Monitor the process plant through the control room panels to identify abnormal operating conditions of systems and equipment;
• Monitor and control fire and gas detection system present at the entire FPSO, through the ICSS and Addressable Fire Detection System, including process inhibits;
• Keep production records up to date and issue shift reports;
• Monitor operations, including equipment and plant starts and stops, guiding production operators to perform maneuvers and check equipment, vessels and systems;
• Ability to operate various devices, including control devices and valves, and to know the effect of each maneuver on the behavior of the system and the process as a whole;
• Oversee Production Operator Training in the control room, where applicable.
• Carry out the duties and tasks as specified in the Emergency Response Plan
• Comply with local rules and regulations, regarding to flare, water disposal, product quality, etc.
• Carry out the duties of the Lead Operator when required.

Furthermore, the Production Control Room Operator must perform the work required by his superior and perform tasks according to company procedures, including administrative or operational tasks.
