Join our Finance team as an Accounts Payable Coordinator, where you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions across our global business. Working alongside colleagues from Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Project teams, you will help drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

 

Job Summary

The Account Payable Coordinator reports to the Manager, AP/AR and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounts payable and related accounts receivable operations across multiple entities. The role ensures the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, fund transfers, and intercompany transactions while maintaining compliance with internal controls and company procedures. The position works closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Tax, Treasury, Project Teams, and IFS System Consultants, to support efficient financial operations and resolve issues proactively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and record supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner within the accounting system.
  • Support the recording and reconciliation of fund transfers and incoming funds across multiple subsidiaries, ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained.
  • Create and maintain supplier and customer master data in line with Yinson Group requirements.
  • Manage daily accounts payable activities, including monitoring shared mailboxes, processing invoices, tracking payment status, and distributing payment confirmations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Handle accounts receivable activities related to intercompany invoicing and settlements between subsidiaries.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer balances and assist in resolving outstanding items when required.
  • Extract and prepare bank balance reports for group entities.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve operational issues while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams, Tax, Treasury, and IFS System Consultants to ensure smooth and efficient transaction processing.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as required by the team or business.

 
Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or a similar finance function.
  • Experience preparing and processing payments through online banking platforms.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with IFS or a similar ERP/accounting system is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, international environment and collaborate with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with both functional and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
