We are Hiring an Assistant Manager, General Ledger - drive financial excellence across a diverse portfolio of entities in a dynamic, growing sector.
Job Summary
The Assistant Manager, General Ledger reports to the Accounting Team Lead and is responsible for managing general ledger accounting and financial close activities across a portfolio of entities. The role ensures timely and accurate reporting, robust reconciliations, effective audit coordination, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support compliant and high-quality financial outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end closing to meet reporting deadlines with high accuracy.
- Responsible for a full set of accounts for assigned entities (active project companies and dormant holding companies), timely production of monthly management and financial reports, including but not limited to monthly closing, accounts reconciliation, audit, and fixed asset management.
- Prepare and verify general ledger (GL) related journals to ensure documents and approvals are in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions in the ERP system.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and monthly reporting to Consolidation team.
- Proactively follow-up with other departments on outstanding matters and ensure they are resolved.
- Work closely with various departments including but not limited to Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, Tax and Project teams for any issues.
- Support the annual statutory audit process, i.e. preparation of audit schedules, preparation/review of audited financial statements and liaising with external auditors during interim and annual audits.
- Take ownership and ensure audits are completed on time, with a proactive approach.
- Seize opportunities and drive process and system improvement including automation initiatives and reporting efficiency.
- Prepare accounting assessment and management papers when required.
- Support any ad-hoc tasks, and assignments as directed by superior.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent qualification is required.
- Full professional qualification in Accountancy such as ACCA, CIMA, MICPA or its equivalent will be an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting/financial reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of finance, account receivables and payables or with audit experience in Big 4 accounting firm.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, with experience Co-Pilot being a strong value.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., IFS or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills; able to express ideas clearly and logically.
- Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision, with strong ownership and drive to deliver results.
- Professional and effective in working with cross-functional international teams and external parties.
- Self-driven, proactive, meticulous, and able to work under tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
