General Responsibilities:
- Responsible to establish requirements and the implementation of HSEQ programme, for both vessels and the KL office, pursuant to the Malaysian HSEQ standards and regulations and the relevant international HSEQ standards.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Support and assist operational management teams (for vessels and KL office) to fulfil their Health, Safety and Environmental legislative requirements pursuant to applicable Malaysian laws.
- Continuous development of HSEQ management systems including policy documents, operating procedures, risk assessments, method statements and accident reporting systems.
- Carry out audits and training in offices and on board offshore support units as required by the HSEQ plans.
- Keep the management informed about the status of the HSEQ projects.
- Attend HSEQ management and committee meetings as required.
- Identify and report non-compliance, safety report and follow-up corrective actions.
- Liaise with the relevant authorities and other regulatory bodies on HSEQ matters.
- Monitor Company vessels/units to ensure compliance with flag state and company requirements in all matters concerned with HSEQ.
- Ascertain that vessels/units HSEQ equipment is according to Company’s standard and updated as required by international and flag state regulation.
Competence level:
- Possesses University degree or relevant experience from the maritime- or offshore related industry within HSEQ.
- Must have sound knowledge of the appropriate ISO standards and tools to support HSEQ improvement
- A proactive individual with the ability to work at all levels and promote a positive HSE culture.
- Computer literacy
- Good communication skills (including presentation skills), namely in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
