This position is reporting to MD ChargEV and working closely with strategy and the finance & operations team of YGT. The candidate must be able to interchange from high-level strategy to executing day-to-day operations in a hands-on manner.

 

Finance Responsibilities:

  • In-charge of building and maintaining the financial models, budget requirements and reporting. This includes month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Monitoring day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and general ledger activities.
  • Monitor the inventory movement and ensuring proper control is in place. You are expected to lead reconciliation of inventory accounts to general ledger.
  • Ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reporting of financial data.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize processes, streamline operations and automation to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage relationships with external investors, vendors, banks, auditors to ensure compliance and timely completion of financial activities.


Strategy Responsibilities:

  • Drive international expansion exercise, including feasibility study, due diligence, go-to-market strategy and potential M&As.
  • Lead the research, business case presentation, pricing dynamics and ROI modelling on any new initiative, product or geographical expansion.
  • Conduct competitor monitoring.
  • Provide opinion papers and thought-leadership.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification
  • Advance skills in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Have experience in M&As.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Shown experience presenting or convincing C-levels.
  • Having a “Just-do-it” startup mindset, self-starter and practices the Agile methodology.
  • Strong command of English, written and spoken is a must. The person is expected to write investor reports and board papers.

 

Desirable requirements:

  • MBA or CFA qualification (or pursuing at least level 2)
  • Worked in a reputable management consulting firm
  • Experience in a start-up environment
  • Knowledge of Power BI, SQL and/or any analytical software
