Job Summary:
Head of Corporate Finance & FP&A is heads the corporate finance department of the company, including equity and debt financing transactions, treasury and strategic review work for the company. In addition to this, this role heads the business partnering with the Corporate function/business leader(s) and drive the direction of the business align to Yinson’s Corporate function/business strategy and needs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Corporate Finance
- Development and implementation of financial strategies and policies enabling the business to meet its objectives.
- Provide leadership to manage financing, forecasting, corporate development, strategy implementation of Yinson Green Technologies’ businesses, operations (including all subsidiaries and investments) and actively assist, plan, and execute strategic initiatives. including review of financial models, deal structures and participation in deal negotiations.
- Lead the investment assessment process through the preparation and review of robust financial/valuation models, board papers and analysis of the investment details.
- Manage due diligence process related to corporate exercises (including acquisitions, divestitures, capital market exercises) which involves both internal and external parties.
- Manage corporate advisors from investment banks, solicitors, placement agents, equity capital advisory, brokerage advisory and various regulatory bodies.
- Head the Corporate Treasury department and provide active cash management and planning for the business and coordinate with corporate treasury.
- In conjunction with the CFO, establish and develop relations with external partners/investors and stakeholders in support of ongoing and future business
Corporate Planning
- Heads the processes for financial forecasting and budgets and advising on long-term business and financial planning.
- Heads the annual budget and business planning exercise
- Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plans and contribute to strategic initiatives, including proactive management of capital requirements (debt and equity) and solutions for current and future business scenarios.
- Leads the team and Head of Special Projects to work with Corporate function/business leaders to prepare full year rolling forecast reflecting the activities of the period in review
- CAPEX spent and funding management in collaboration with project, treasury and accounting teams
Qualifications needed:
- Possess a Degree Accounting or Finance. MBA is prefeered.
- CFA charter holder and/or recognized Business, Quantitative Analysis degree and related Professional is an added advantage
- At least 15 years of work experience (at least 5 years in corporate finance) in Investment Banking/ Big 4/ Boutique M&A Advisory firms/ Private Equity/Sovereign Wealth Funds.
- Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Excel (financial modelling and valuations).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Power Point.
- Knowledge and experience of accounting, tax and legal related matters will be an added advantage.
- Experience in investment banking, M&A, distress and turnaround specialist, transactional advisory, is an advantage.
