Who are we?

Yinson is a world leading energy solutions provider. Our business consists of Offshore production, Renewables, Offshore Marine and Green Technology. We have offices and operations in various countries around the world and thus offer a culturally diverse, international environment. We are now hiring in preparation for further growth.

Key Responsibilities: 

Contract Review and Advisory

1. Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial and maritime contracts, including service agreements, MOUs, NDAs, and operational contracts.
2. Provide practical legal advice to internal stakeholders on contractual risks and mitigation strategies.

Maritime and Charterparty Work

1. Draft, review and advise on charterparties (including time charters and bareboat charters)
2. Support chartering and operations teams on charterparty interpretation, performance issues, off-hire, indemnities, and termination rights.

Disputes and Claims Handling

1. Assist in managing disputes, claims, and potential litigation/arbitration matters, including:

2. 1. Charterparty disputes
   2. Operational and contractual claims
   3. Vessel-related incidents
3. Support early dispute assessment, strategy formulation, and settlement discussions.

Vessel Sale and Purchase Transactions

1. Assist with sale and purchase of vessels, including:
   1. Reviewing sale agreements and related transaction documents
   2. Coordinating with brokers, external lawyers, and internal teams through completion

General Support

1. Support the legal team on compliance, risk management, and corporate governance matters as required.

Qualifications Needed:

1. Qualified lawyer with approximately 3 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE).
2. Background in maritime/shipping law.
3. Litigation or disputes experience.
4. Familiarity with BIMCO standard forms and charterparty structures is strongly preferred.
5. Exposure to vessel sale and purchase transactions is an advantage.
6. Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
7. Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
