Core Responsibilities:

Accountable for the Group Corporate Finance and Treasury activities at Yinson Holding Berhad’s group corporate entities, including operational treasury support in all treasury related activities for the group corporate entities as well as working closely with finance, tax, legal and company secretary departments and other business units under YHB on corporate transactions (greenfield developments, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, disposals etc.). The role is also a unique opportunity to work in a multi-cultural environment across continents.

 

Immediate duties:

  • Manage corporate loan structuring, origination, documentation, and completion, including negotiation with lenders, counsels, and various internal and external parties. Instruments which YHB has previously dealt with includes bonds, perpetual instruments and various structured investment products.
  • Overseeing and managing existing debt, including periodical updates and annual reviews by banks, monitoring loan covenants and financial guarantees.
  • Cash and liquidity management, including inter-company funding, preparation of monthly cashflow forecasting and stress testing and investments of idle cash (as and when required).
  • Execution and maintenance of ratings with local and international ratings agencies, including periodical updates and annual reviews.
  • Interact, coordinate and administer with business entities and cash management banks on bank related matters such as opening and closing of bank accounts, bank fees, online banking, KYC, OFAC related enquiries and other relevant matters.
  • For corporate transactions, work closely with various internal and external parties (e.g. corporate advisors and regulatory bodies) for YHB board and shareholders’ approvals (where necessary).
  • Building, maintaining and managing network, including but not limited to investment banks, legal counsels, placement agents, equity and debt capital advisory, brokerage advisory and various regulatory bodies.
  • Undertake any other ad hoc assignments.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
  • Experience from an investment bank/Big 4/infrastructure fund (offshore oil and gas/renewable sector) is an advantage.
  • Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Excel (financial modelling).
  • Knowledge and experience of accounting, tax, and legal related matters will be a benefit.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate complex matters concisely and effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Sociable personality; a good team player with the ability to engage with cross-cultural teams and deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and international environment.
  • Fluent verbal and written English is mandatory (other languages are an advantage).
