As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement processes for all materials, components, and services required for our projects. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that all materials and services are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of projects by ensuring that procurement activities align with the company’s strategic objectives and sustainability goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Planning:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for sourcing materials, equipment, and services required.
  • Align procurement activities with overall company goals, including cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.

Supplier Management:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of projects materials and equipment.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and high-quality service.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers, ensuring that contracts reflect the best value for the company.
  • Conduct supplier audits, evaluations, and risk assessments to maintain quality and cost standards.

Procurement Process Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying needs, creating purchase orders, to receiving goods/services.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and procurement best practices.
  • Develop and manage vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.

Cost Control & Budget Management:

  • Manage procurement budgets for various projects and ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising on quality.
  • Track and report on procurement spending to ensure alignment with project budgets and timelines.
  • Implement strategies for cost reduction and continuous improvement in the procurement process.

Risk Management:

  • Proactively identify and mitigate procurement risks that could impact project delivery, such as supply chain disruptions or price volatility.
  • Establish contingency plans to ensure the smooth procurement of critical materials or services.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and other departments to understand project requirements and ensure timely procurement of necessary materials and services.
  • Provide procurement expertise to support the technical and operational requirements of the projects.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with relevant legal, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including contracts, vendor performance, and purchase orders.
  • Prepare reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier metrics for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, quantity surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement, preferably in a global company.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable contract terms and pricing.
  • Experienced in Project Management and/or Contract Management.
  • Proficient in quantity surveying, cost analysis, and value engineering principles.
  • Proficient in using procurement tools such as, eSourcing, SAP Ariba, and Excel applications.
