What you will do:

  1. Financial Management: Spearhead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to ensure optimal resource allocation and financial stability.
  2. Operational efficiency: Streamline our operational processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective systems and controls.
  3. Risk Management: Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard our business’s assets and mitigate risk to ensure compliance with regulations and minimize potential liabilities/penalties.
  4. Strategic decision-making: Provide valuable support in strategic decision-making. By utilizing financial acumen and operational insights to align operational strategies with financial targets.

 

This position reports to the Business Unit Head and will work closely with the finance & operations team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist on day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and general ledger activities.
  • Coordinate and monitor the inventory movement and ensure proper controls are in place.
  • Generate invoices for billing as per billing cycle to customers
  • Ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reporting of financial data.
  • Monitor inventory transactions & periodic inventory count and perform reconciliation of inventory accounts to general ledger.
  • Monitor and ensure timely collection from customers.
  • Work with Business Leaders and collate information for budget requirements.
  • Prepare variance analysis and slides for monthly business review.
  • Participate in the month-end and year-end financial closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize financial processes, streamline operations, and drive efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and timely completion of financial activities.

Specific Qualifications Required:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance with ACCA qualifications is an added advantage
