This hiring is for our subsidiary, Regulus Offshore. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Regulus Offshore is a leading provider of offshore support vessels (OSVs) and floating support solutions.

 

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Executive, Financial Reporting to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible to support the Manager Financial Reporting in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports which includes external reporting statutory reporting and management reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Responsible for completing monthly closing tasks within the specified deadlines, including accruals, inter-company transactions, fixed assets, taxation, and any closing-related journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, related party transaction (RPT) schedules, IIP reports, balance sheet schedules, and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist the manager in completing impairment assessments, Expected Credit Loss (ECL) assessments, and Cost of Investment (COI) assessments during the year-end process.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are systematically and accurately recorded in ledgers and other records, in accordance with Accepted Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in tax reporting and the submission of tax returns for all companies.
  • Provide support to internal and external auditors for any audit queries and requirements, collaborating with bankers, legal advisors, company secretaries, tax agents, and authorities.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with the financial activities of the business, implementing measures to mitigate potential issues.
  • Monitor and control expenses to ensure they remain within budget, providing insights and recommendations for cost management.
  • To involve in initiatives focused on digitalization and automation.
  • Undertake project work, ad-hoc assignments, or any other duties as assigned or requested by Management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or Post-graduate Diploma in Accounting, or Professional Degree or equivalent Professional Accounting qualification.
  • A member of ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant working experience.
  • Full command of Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle various tasks and challenges.
  • High level of motivation and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
