Job Summary:

 

Hands-on preparation of Yinson Group’s consolidation to fulfil internal management reporting, statutory reporting and external stakeholder reporting requirements, while actively driving initiatives to enhance automation and knowledge base of our current consolidation system (SigmaConso) to ensure timeliness and accuracy of consolidation and deliverables.

 

This will be done in close cooperation with the global Finance teams across Yinson’s business units, Group Corporate departments (including Treasury, Tax, FP&A, IT, IFS Support departments), external auditors and under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Group Consolidation and Head of Group Consolidation and Accounting Policies and Processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly / quarterly Group consolidation and associated workings and schedules using SigmaConso system, including the monthly monitoring and reconciliation of inter-company variances.
  • Assist in the preparation of Yinson Group quarterly Bursa results announcements.
  • Assist in the preparation of Board presentation materials and other deliverables for the Group’s quarterly results and annual budget exercise.
  • Hands-on preparation of consolidated workings/schedules to support Yinson’s annual consolidated financial statements and Integrated Annual Report in compliance with MFRS / IFRS.
  • Support Yinson Group’s implementation and continuous improvement initiatives for the SigmaConso system.
  • Drive the establishment, management and enhancement of helpdesk and training resources for the SigmaConso system, while also contributing to the development of a Centre of Excellence of SigmaConso in each of Yinson’s key business units.
  • Assist in the design and development of financial dashboards for internal management reporting using data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
  • Liaise with global Finance team members across Yinson’s business units and Group Corporate departments regularly to obtain inputs required for Group consolidation.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting or similar educational qualification
  • Professionally qualified Chartered Accountant.

 

Skills and Experiences:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant hands-on consolidation experience in listed companies or MNCs with global operations.
  • Meticulous with numbers and preparation of consolidation.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment and deadline driven, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with diverse, multi-functional teams.
  • Added advantage - Experience in Oil and Gas and related industries.
  • Added advantage - Experience in both manual and system consolidation.
  • Added advantage - External audit experience in a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Added advantage - Technical experience with data preparation and building visualisation dashboards using data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
