Key Responsibilities:

The Talent and HR Operations Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all human resources matters and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR operations. This includes managing recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and policy implementation. This role ensures that HR processes run smoothly, comply with legal requirements, and support a productive and positive work environment.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Recruitment:

  • Conduct full cycle recruitment operations for all entities, from sourcing to onboarding, for all levels of corporate positions across Malaysia & Singapore.
  • Design and deliver targeted recruitment training programs to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and enhancing overall recruitment effectiveness
  • Led end-to-end recruitment activities for the Management Trainee programme (LEAP), including sourcing, screening, assessment center, and onboarding of candidate

HR Operations:

Recruitment and Hiring

  • Managing the full recruitment cycle, from identifying staffing needs to onboarding new employees.
  • Collaborate with department managers to address staffing needs and optimize team structures
  • To evaluate and improve the organizational structure, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational efficiency

HR Operations

  • Responsible for independently directing and managing our HR backend operations.
  • To ensure payroll processing is accurate and adhere to all local government statutory requirements in Malaysia, meeting deadlines and staying abreast of current legislation.
  • Leading the handling of HR-related correspondence to ensure timely and accurate communication across departments.

HR Reporting

  • Responsible for ensuring employee records, reporting on employee turnover rates, and providing data and reports on HR activities.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.

Performance Management

  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal process that drives high performance

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Lead efforts to address and resolve employee concerns and grievances, ensuring a fair and supportive workplace.
  • Developing and implementing initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and introduce an employee engagement plan

Training and Development:

  • Manage and coordinate training strategies to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.

Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Creating and enforcing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Managing compensation and benefits plans and administering employee benefits.
  • Develop a rewards framework, including salary scale design and market benchmarking, to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.

Legal Compliance

  • Staying informed about labor laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's compliance, and assisting in handling legal matters related to HR issues. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Budgeting

  • Introduce and manage the HR budgeting process to ensure effective planning and allocation of resources across HR initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CIPD) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of comprehensive HR generalist experience with strong exposure across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding
  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian HR laws and regulations, ensuring full compliance across HR functions.
  • Detail-oriented and hands-on, with a proactive approach to HR operations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships across all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
