Supplier Quality and Compliance Specialist

 

The Operations Supply Chain team in Oslo support a fleet of 7 FPSO’s, located in Brazil, Nigeria, Ghana, Angola and Malaysia with their daily procurement and logistics activities. Our team in Oslo already represent 5 different nationalities and our working language is English. We work in a high pace environment where few days are the same.

 

With a long-term presence in the operating countries, it is key to build long term relationships with the supplier market. We have a strong footprint in the supplier market in our countries of operations and combine this with international purchasing and sourcing activities.

 

The Supplier Quality and Compliance Specialist role will be based in Oslo and will have the main responsibility for the fleet’s supplier due diligence process through our 3rd party company, and the supplier quality assurance through supplier audits, performance evaluations and the processes surrounding this. The role requires travelling and close cooperation with the global supply chain team and other relevant stakeholders.

 

 

 

Core Responsibilities

 

  • Responsibility and ownership of the supplier quality assurance within the Operations Supply Chain Department
  • Responsibility and ownership of the prequalification process/system and supplier performance system

 

Duties

 

  • Lead and coordinate communication with Suppliers on all matters related to quality and compliance. Including prequalification process, supplier audits and supplier performance evaluations.
  • Ensure the selection, qualification, approval, and follow-up of suppliers are performed according to company policies and procedures
  • Ownership for the prequalification and supplier performance evaluation system.
    • Drive and manage supplier prequalification system improvements and functionality.
    • Be the main contact towards system provider for system maintenance, improvements and functionalities.
  • Ownership of procedures, manuals and checklists for the supplier quality and compliance scope in the department.
  • Responsible to align working methods, systems, templates and use of procedures as related to the supplier quality and compliance scope in the department with all relevant stakeholders in the Organization globally.
  • Ensure other departments in the company are given the necessary support related to the prequalification and supplier performance evaluation system; Coordination of teams and actions, Internal training of personnel, etc.
  • Keeping up to date on any regulatory requirements that may affect the Supply Chain department, e.g. Country Specific requirements, Regulatory body, Client, Industry, etc.
  • Coordinate and lead supplier audits, reports & results and coordinate the supplier audit plan on behalf of Supply Chain Operations Department.
  • Coordinate and lead supplier performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate and cooperate with Operations Managers, offshore teams, technical teams and other relevant stakeholders in matters related to Supplier quality and compliance.
  • Prepare reports and presentation for Management as required/when necessary.
  • Report key activities, progress, and results to line manager

 

This position involves travel to our corporate and country operations offices globally.

Qualifications

 

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in the oil & gas/FPSO industry/Shipping industry
  • Excellent English skills, both oral and written
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, (can also be compensated by relevant experience)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience from a relevant position; supply chain quality/compliance/prequalification
