Exciting opportunity to join our Renewables team as Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Coordinator!


Job Summary:

The AP/AR coordinator supports the team with daily operational activities which relate to invoice and payment processing, as well as customer collection & reporting. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish, as they will initially deal with our Peruvian assets. They would have interactions with cross functional teams including tax, treasury, system consultants and project teams.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist to ensure all invoices are complete and accurately recorded and entered into the accounting system on a timely basis.
  • Support the recording of incoming funds in the accounting system, verifying amounts and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Help to create new supplier/customer codes in compliance with Yinson Group’s requirements.
  • Perform day-to-day operations of accounts payable functions including but not limited to; monitoring the group mailbox for incoming invoices, checking payment status on the banking portal and downloading and distributing payment advice to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare payment files in the bank’s specified format, ensuring correct payment codes, error-free instructions, and accurate data entry.
  • Perform day-to-day operations of accounts receivable functions including but not limited to; tracking of customer collection status, weekly download of bank statements and monitoring of customer billing and AR reports prepared by consultants.
  • Work proactively to resolve any pending issues and maintain clear communication on outstanding matters.
  • Coordinate with various teams, including project team and tax/treasury teams and IFS system consultants to address issues and maintain smooth operations.
  • Assist to extract lists of bank balances for all entities.
  • Perform reconciliations on outstanding balances with vendors/customers when required.
  • Other tasks as may be relevant to position/team.

 
Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification. 
  • Minimum 3-year’s working experience in a large organisation, relevant experience in account receivables or payables is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in preparing payments in the bank portal.
  • Prior experience working in Peru would be a competitive advantage.
  • Computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • Experience in IFS accounting system will be an advantage.
  • Fluent English and Spanish, both verbal and written is mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment with a remote team.
  • Pro-active, able to take ownership and work under tight deadlines.
