Responsibility

The Bosun shall supervise and carry out PM’s and CM’s according to IFS Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and takes part in the daily work assigned to the deck crew. Assists the Marine Supervisor or Topside Maintenance Supervisor in planning and execution of maintenance and operational work tasks within the deck department. The Bosun is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day activities of him selves and his/her peers, are carried out in a safe and healthy manner and that the impact of such activities to the environment is within acceptable limits. The Bosun is responsible for handling waste materials according to waste management plan. Reporting to Marine supervisor all duties carried out.

Duties

• Coordinate the required activities of the GP Marine personnel.
• Carry out the duties and tasks as specified in the Emergency Response Plan
• Banksman under Marine Supervisor supervision for all liftings and crane operations
• Coordinate and carry out jobs for rust/paint removal by chipping machine or high-pressure machine and touch up painting under instruction of Marine Supervisor/ Lead Marine Operator
• Receive training to operate the crane, according to the operation's manual and applicable operational procedures

Furthermore, the Bosun shall carry out such work as has been required by own superior and carry out duties as per documented Company Procedure, including administrative or operational activities.

Qualifications

General education, certificates and experience:

• STCW II/5 certification
• Bosun certificate and license
• Advanced english
