Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Instrumentation, Automation and Telecommunication (IAT) Systems, aiming to achieve the needed reliability of the assets during its entire life cycle through the development, implementation and continuous improvement of a well-established, cost- effective and robust set of maintenance strategies and practices and by the implementation of a maintenance program focused on predictive/condition based maintenance approach.
  • Focal point of Operational Technology (OT) and it`s interfaces, particularly regarding lessons learned and in interactions with Digitalization and ALM departments to support global initiatives across projects and phases, supporting building digital infrastructure and solutions projects development.
  • Lead the Operational Technology group, providing support and the necessary tools for successful operations, guiding and developing the team.
  • Perform visits on the onboard facilities in order to follow inspections, tests and generate reports for rectifications (if any), with focus on continuous improvements on the OT/IAT Systems, in the different stages and phases of the production asset life cycle.

Duties: 

  • Act as Technical Responsible in subjects relating to IAT Engineering as part of the Technical Support team, providing support to Operations and projects if required.
  • Collaborate in engineering analysis of the eventual IAT systems performance fault, as well as implement root cause analysis study when necessary.
  • Assist and provide advice and technical solutions to integrate FPSO`s OT Technology within company and client enterprise architectures and oversight selected Operational Application implementation projects.
  • Analyze Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) layers looking for opportunities to improve integration, availability, efficiency, reliability, security, with focus on use of available technology and innovations.
  • Communicate effectively with, and between the immediate team, business subject matter experts, developers, analysts, engineers, end users of systems and management.
  • Develop technical material, knowledge sharing and provide internal training related to the above activities.
  • Attend Technical and Management Meetings with Customers and Suppliers.
  • Availability for occasional embarks (short term) and international travels.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Engineering degree from an accredited university.
  • CREA RJ accredited register.
  • Specialization in Oil and Gas, Automation, Maintenance or Project Management is expected.
  • Experience in Maintenance or Technical Support related activities, in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical Industry sector in Brazil.
  • Experience working in Offshore environment in a rotation shift is desired.
  • Experience with Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Start-up, from project phase is desired.
  • Advance level in English and Fluent in Portuguese.

 

Specific Knowledge & Competencies:

  • Broad understanding of Technology Infrastructure and Applications to support FPSO Operations.
  • Understanding of Cyber Security standards (Certified competencies highly regarded).
  • Good knowledge of Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS), Safety Systems (SIS, ESD, PSD), Process  Controls  systems (PCS,  BPCS), Fire  and Gas Systems  (F&G), Digital  Control  Systems (DCS),  Programable  Logic  Controllers  (PLC),  Human  Machine  Interfaces  (HMI)  and  Power Management System (PMS).
  • Familiarity of Industrial communication protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, OPC, Profibus, Profinet, Hart, Fieldbus) as well as network design and infrastructure used in both OT and IT realms.
  • Understanding  of  Data  structures,  Data  conditioning  and  manipulation  and  Operational Challenges for Integrating and managing OT systems.
  •  Understanding  of  EPCI  and  O&M  System’s  Engineering  approaches,  tools  and  Lifecycle Information.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, conflict management, negotiation skills, ability of work under pressure flexibility and self-motivation.
  • Process, People, and Technology management knowledge and skills.
