The Operations Intern role at Yinson presents an exciting opportunity for individuals keen to develop their skills within the dynamic offshore production industry. Core Responsibilities:
- Assist the Onshore Team in monitoring and controlling daily operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and contributing to overall operational efficiency.
- Manage communication with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely and quality delivery of services and materials to bolster operational success.
- Collaborate with various departments to meet both vessel and global demands, aiding in the enhancement of interdepartmental synergy and response capabilities.
- Participate in workshops focused on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices, including Task Risk Analysis and Critical Analysis, to heighten safety awareness and operational readiness.
- Engage in client meetings to understand contracts and operational responsibilities, enhancing your educational experience.
- Support the operations interface, promoting seamless interactions across all onshore and offshore departments.
Duties:
- Assist the Onshore Team in maintaining the Operations Management System and the Computerized Maintenance Management System, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Review and update procedures, work instructions, and job descriptions, aligning them with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Draft documentation for Purchasing Order/Contract issuance, including Scopes of Work and Technical Analyses.
- Participate in audits and inspections to assess the compliance and effectiveness of operational processes.
- Monitor and document the status of material embarkation and disembarkation as well as third-party mobilisations and payments, relaying essential updates to the team.
- All internship activities will be conducted onshore; please note the intern will not embark offshore.
- Engage in quarterly feedback sessions with your supervisor to discuss performance, challenges, and growth opportunities.
- By the end of the internship, you will be well-versed in articulating the fundamentals of oil, gas, and water topsides, as well as marine processes related to cargo storage, handling, and offloading.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Responsibilities:
- Maintain a keen awareness of health and safety practices, proactively observing and reporting any unsafe activities, conditions, or situations.
- Utilise the 'Stop Work' policy whenever unsafe conditions are noted, prioritising safety in all operational undertakings.
Qualifications:
- Mandatory: Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, with a commitment to a two-year internship.
- Desirable: Coursework in technical subjects related to operations or engineering.
Skills & Experiences:
- Mandatory: Basic understanding of English and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Desirable: Intermediate level of English to facilitate clear communication in a multinational team environment.
