Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete process safety reviews and develop recommendations for addressing process safety issues.
  • Provide risk assessment using risk analysis techniques and tools.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
  • Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of technical safety related equipment.
  • Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases pertinent to Yinson’s business
  • Review employee safety programs to determine their adequacy from a technical safety point of view.
  • Be the technical responsible (CREA) within Yinson Brazil organization for the Technical Safety discipline.
  • Provide coaching on identification and resolution of process safety issues.
  • Assist in technical evaluation and provide support for ongoing modifications.
  • Support the planning and implementation of solutions originated in change management.
  • Coordinate, verify and manage the interface with contractors conducting Technical Safety related studies, review and evaluations.
  • Support and represent Yinson for the Technical Safety discipline in regulatory and client audits as well as in industry discussion forums.
  • Keeping up to date regarding to changes in legislation and standards relevant to the Technical Safety discipline.
  • Elaborate technical reports in your area of expertise.
  • Participate in projects, courses, events, agreements and programs of instruction, research and extension when appropriated.
  • Perform tasks relevant to the area, using equipment and computer programs.
  • Perform other tasks compatible with the job requirements.
  • Support in the resolution of demands of authorities and government agencies

Qualifications:

  • Engineering University Degree or higher.
  • Active CREA register
  • Advanced English
  • Desirable specialization in offshore systems. 

 

Skills & Experiences:

  • Familiarity and Experience with ANP’s SGSO and SGSS regulations and audits.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good Communication skills.

 

Desirable knowledge of concepts in:

  • HAZID.
  • HAZOP.
  • Safety Integrity Level report.
  • SIL verification Study.
  • Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment (FERA).
  • Fire propagation Study.
  • Fire and Gas Mapping study.
  • ETRERA - Escape, Temporary Refuge, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis.
  • Design Performance Standards.
