Responsibility
The Radio operator is responsible for assisting the OIM and the supervisors in their daily administrative work, assist on the helicopter transport to and from the installation, updating POB and handling emergency communication on radio and telephone. Is also responsible for ensuring that his/her day to day activities are carried out in a safe and healthy manner and that the impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits.
Duties
- Carry out radio communication with helicopters during arrival and departure, in accordance with the current communication protocol.
- Carry out administrative work as requested by the OIM.
- Assist others department when required and approved by OIM;
- Follow up recommendations after radio inspections.
- Follow up relevant rules and regulations related to own duties.
- Ensure that maintenance of radio equipment is according to legislation and recorded.
- Ensure relevant logs are kept updated.
- Support personnel logistic department when necessary.
- Carry out the duties and tasks as specified in the Emergency Response Plan
Furthermore, the Radio Operator shall carry out such work as has been required by own superior and carry out duties as per documented Company Procedure, including administrative or operational activities.

- Observe and report any unsafe activities, conditions or situations.
- If you observe anything unsafe use the ‘Stop Work’ Policy.
