Tax Intern

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a Tax Intern to join at Yinson, based in Rio de Janeiro. This internship is intended for individuals who are eager to develop their skills and gain valuable, hands-on experience in the tax functions within a dynamic and global offshore production environment.

About the Role

The Tax Intern will support the Tax Americas. This role provides an excellent platform to learn about corporate tax regulations, offshore industry-specific tax considerations, and financial practices in a practical context.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing tax documentation and filings in accordance with Brazilian tax laws and international tax regulations.
• Support the tax team in conducting research on tax legislation updates and their implications for the business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, and operations to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
• Help maintain tax records and organize documents for audits and internal reviews.
• Contribute to internal tax analyses and reports that aid decision making and risk management.
• Participate in continuous learning opportunities and training sessions about tax policies, offshore production finance, and corporate governance.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking candidates currently pursuing in Accounting, Business, Law, or a related field with an interest in tax matter. Ideal candidates available for 2 years of internship. 

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Basic understanding of tax principles and accounting practices.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English, both written and spoken, are highly desirable.
