Job Summary:

ChargEV, under the umbrella of Yinson Green Technologies is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yinson Holdings Berhad. Yinson Holdings Berhad is a public limited liability company, incorporated and domiciled in Malaysia, and listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.

In this role for chargEV, you will be pivotal in transforming the company into the region's most engaging and customer-centric e-mobility charging platform and infrastructure player.

 

In the role of Business Development Manager at chargEV, you will be pivotal to growing chargEV’s presence in Singapore.

This role is about more than sales and partnership; it's about creating an unparalleled user experience that is seamless and frictionless that sets chargEV apart as a leader in the electric vehicle industry. Being a startup, you need to be dedicated, go above and beyond your scope and do whatever it takes as a team to win.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Commercial and Expansion:

  • Develop go-to-market and growth strategy by formulating strategic recommendations based on market research and available data, and executing the business’s expansion plans in new and existing markets.
  • Identify and engage potential partners and sites suitable for EV charging infrastructure.
  • To conduct cold-calling or cold-emailing to potential leads
  • To track and participate in EV and Green Technologies related projects
  • Build and cultivate client relationship to expand on adjacent revenues
  • To have In-depth understanding of the EV proposition to potential clients
  • Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them
  • Develop partnership plans to engage key government agencies and other stakeholders to further anchor the company position in the Green Technology industry
  • Prepare business proposal and partake in EV related tenders
  • Follow up on any payment or collection relating to your accounts
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Successful candidates will have a proactive work attitude with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a wide range of complex and time sensitive tasks. We are seeking team members with a positive work style, who are well-organised, able to effectively multi-task and prioritise and who are ready to show and take initiative and drive the business forward.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • 5 years of experience in marketing, business development and customer experience
  • Exhibits strong commercial acumen and willingness to innovate and create.
  • Willing to take risk, test and iterate
  • Possess extensive knowledge of sales principles, practices, set processes from scratch and an ability to coach others
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
  • A people person with the ability to engage and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Having a “Just-do-it” startup mindset, self-starter and practices the Agile methodology.
  • Strong command of English, written and spoken. Have experience using CRM
  • A passion for sustainability, electric vehicles, and/or mobility in general is a plus.
