Job Summary

 

The Business Process Manager position is a multi-facet role reporting to the VP, Project Supply Chain and getting involved in a number of SC project activities. This position will own, facilitate and execute the Vendor Qualification process and Vendor Performance Evaluation process as a main activity.

This role is also responsible for several other business applications, systems and processes within the Supply Chain Project team with focus on supporting, improving and simplifying how we use the available systems and tools in the Supply Chain IT eco environment.  This could also include increasing the usage of AI as an example.  

The individual will need to be flexible and resilient to be successful in the role. The holder of this position has the necessary authorities to carry out the responsibilities stated in this job description, per the specified Company Limit of Authority

 

Functional Responsibilities

 

•    Take ownership of and continue to improve the Vendor Qualification and Vendor Performance Evaluation processes
•    Suggest and implement changes to improve the quality of the VQ/VPE system and the turn-around time from request to approval
•    Work with our software provider (Avetta anno 2025) to optimize our use of the software and to reduce our overall VQ/VPE cost 
•    Own the daily VQ/VPE execution for all new vendor (re)qualifications and VPE’s
•    Further evaluate the Procure to Pay process in cooperation with Finance and other stakeholders. Suggest improvements and help implement changes to the process
•    Ensure that Corporate spend processes are defined together with Finance and help in implementation of new systems and processes where it makes sense 
•    Own the actual execution of Corporate PO’s
•    Continuously evaluate supply chain specific software and tools to further optimize efficiency and quality. This can include tools for VQ/VPE, sourcing process, contract management, ESG, Supplier Relationship Management as well as our core EDI system – IFS 
•    Advise and support in developing reporting tools including spend overview and PowerBi’s
•    Assist in understanding, driving, developing and improving Yinson Production’s ESG targets, how we measure them and how we implement new ideas and concepts
•    Support the VP Supply Chain Project with strategy development and overall efficiency and value creation within the SC function.  This might include various admin tasks as well
•    Carry out additional responsibilities as require

 

Qulification

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, (can also be compensated by relevant experience)
•    Minimum 5 years’ experience from a similar and relevant position
•    Experience in the Oil & Gas or shipping industry is a preference but not a requirement
•    Experience with various ERP systems.  IFS experience would be preferre

 

Knowledge

 

  1. In depth knowledge of supply chain, procurement and contracting functions and how larger organizations work
  2. A good understanding of project management 
  3. Good background in IT and how to work with different software tools
  4. Hands-on experience with Vendor Qualification
