Job Summary

Yinson GreenTech is looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our marine division (“marinEV”) to develop exciting solutions for electric harbour craft and charging infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a proactive work attitude with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a wide range of complex and time sensitive tasks. In this position, you will provide project execution and technical support to drive the growth of new business opportunities. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in emerging technologies related to marine electrification, battery, propulsion, power electronics and smart grid design.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support technical development of electrical, instrument, and control systems for harbor craft applications.
• Evaluate power demand optimization methods to promote electrification of seafaring vessels.
• Collaborate with OEMs for technical evaluations and adoption of marine products.
• Provide technical support on electrical engineering matters including power distribution and energy storage.
• Collect operational data and develop tools for analytics on usage and efficiency.
• Propose energy management solutions and utilize analytical tools for optimization.
• Collaborate with academic and research institutes on technology development.
• Assist in troubleshooting and provide technical support during construction and operations, updating knowledge with emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a technical subject
• Degree qualified in electrical or control system engineering

Skills & Experience

• Good use of MS Office
• Good use of AutoCad software 
• Know-how in electrical engineering and system design
• 5 - 7 years of industry experience
• PLC programming language
• Experience in battery, electric vessels, automation devices
• Experience working with industrial communicatio protocols 
• Practical experience in switchboard design, inspection, commissioning, troubleshooting
