Yinson GreenTech is looking for a motivated HSEQ Manager to join our marine division (“marinEV”) to develop and manage exciting solutions for electric harbour craft and charging infrastructure, as well as supporting all YGT's business units on any HSEQ matters. The successful candidate will be a key player in driving MarinEV’s growth and impact. 

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive HSE strategy aligned with the organization’s (YGT) business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. 

  1. Development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Company’s (YGT) management system and document 

  1. Ensure adherence to all local, regional, and national HSE regulations across our projects and operations.  

  1. Collaborate with senior management to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and decision-making processes. 

  1. Be updated with common operational risks and international safety standards associated with the operation of battery electric vessels and vehicles.  

  1. Support and assist all YGT business units related to HSE matters. 

  1. Responsible for developing and maintaining Emergency Response processes. 

  1. Participate in project risk assessments and safety reviews. 

  1. Execute and document audits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of HSE programs 

  1. Address findings promptly and take corrective actions. 

  1. Engage and manage contractors, monitoring their compliance with HSE plans, local regulations, and project permits. 

  1. Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and contractual obligations. 

  1. Foster positive relationships with contractors and local communities. 

  1. Establish and maintain procedures for reporting, investigating, and analyzing HSE incidents, accidents, and near-misses. 

  1. Lead investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. 

  1. Develop and implement training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders on HSE policies and best practices. 

  1. Promote awareness and understanding of HSE responsibilities at all levels of the organization. 

  1. Support tendering activities to ensure HSE areas are sufficiently covered. 

  1. Be a super-user of HSEQ related software

Qualifications 

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience from the maritime/offshore related industry.

 

Desirable:

  • Degree in marine or naval engineering.

 

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Relevant experience in HSE management, preferably in the marine or energy sector.
  • Familiarity with bizSAFE and ISO certification and safety processes.
  • Good knowledge of relevant IMO regulations and codes (e.g. ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS, MODU) and Classification society 

    requirements related to HSEQ.

  • Excellent skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

 

Desirable:

  • Skills in incident investigation, obtained through training in a recognized methodology.
  • Quality auditor certification from a recognized certification body.
