The Legal Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of corporate law, including contract review, legal research, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and litigation support. This internship offers a unique opportunity for aspiring legal professionals to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world corporate environment while receiving mentorship from experienced legal professionals.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:


To assist or support the Singapore Legal Department in:
1.    Legal Research and Analysis
       (a)    Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on a wide range of topics, including statutory and case law, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
       (b)    Summarize research findings and prepare memoranda or reports for review by senior legal counsel.
2.    Contract Review and Drafting
       (a)    Assist in reviewing, drafting, proofreading, analyzing contracts, agreements, and legal documents, including nondisclosure agreements, service agreements, and employment contracts.
3.    Regulatory Compliance Assistance

       (a)    Assist in monitoring regulatory developments and assessing their impact on the 
               organization’s operations.
       (b)    Assist in Prepare compliance reports and assist in developing compliance strategies and training materials for employees.
4.    Administrative Tasks
       (a)    Perform various administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the legal
               department, including file management, copying and collation of prints, document 
               organization, taking minutes and general note-taking and scheduling meetings and appointments.
       (b)    Assist in maintaining legal databases, tracking deadlines, and updating departmental records.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Juris Doctor (JD)/LLB program from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic record with coursework or experience in relevant legal areas.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
