Yinson GreenTech is looking for a motivated Operations Manager to join our marine division (“marinEV”) to develop and manage exciting solutions for electric harbour craft and charging infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a proactive work attitude with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a wide range of complex and time sensitive tasks. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s EV fleet operations within the marine domain. Your role involves strategic planning, coordination, and ensuring efficient execution of operational processes. You will collaborate with various teams to maintain quality standards, meet deadlines, and optimize overall performance. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in marine decarbonization and electrification.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Coordinate vessel movements and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Establish operational standards for fleet, including manuals, inventory management, safety protocols, and training programs.
  • Plan and execute fleet projects, including repairs, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and logistics teams.
  • Support business development through technical sales functions and stakeholder follow-ups.

  • Optimize vessel performance by monitoring energy efficiency, voyage planning, and crew training.

  • Strong understanding of vessel systems, machinery, and safety protocols.

  • Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
  • Collaborative approach to working with crew, management, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to work effectively with the project teams, achieve a good working relationship and act in the interests of the company at all times.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent English verbal and written.

  • Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
  • Prioritize safety protocols and risk management.

  • Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.

Qualifications:

 

  • Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) as per industry requirements.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant subject.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • 5-7 years experience in marine operations.
  • Strong understanding of vessel systems, machinery, and safety protocols.
  • Able to write Technical Reports.
  • Office Tools – MS Office
  • Experienced ship officer or Chief Engineer.
  • Experience in operations of electric / hybrid vessels.
  • Experience in operations of harbour crafts in Singapore waters.
  • Familiar with Performance Prediction Software.
