Construction Project Coordinator
Exciting opportunity to join our Renewables team as Construction Project Coordinator!
Job Summary:
The Construction Project Coordinator role supports the Yinson Renewables (YR) team globally, across all departments, working across projects with project managers through the pre-construction and construction phases. This role will focus on the project scheduling, budgeting, cash flow forecasting formal reporting and payment management.
Location: London, UK
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Construction Project Managers and senior managers across the construction phases to ensure planning/scheduling of the projects and tracking of progress, including analysis of the critical path.
- Support the Construction Project Managers on project progress calls/meetings, including direct calls with contractors and suppliers to obtain required information.
- Manage the cashflow forecasting for the projects, creating reports for senior managers and the finance team.
- Work with the Construction Project Managers and finance team to ensure the payment processes are correctly followed and payments are made in the required timescales.
- Assist the Construction Project Managers to create formal progress reports required for senior management and financial lenders.
- Work with the procurement team to ensure scheduling of all tender processes are understood and help analyse work and payment schedules.
- Create and update a schedule of all upcoming construction projects, working with SVP to identify resource requirements.
Other Responsibilities:
- Create and implement processes, procedures and tools for the key responsibilities.
- Assist with due diligence analysis of potential projects being procured by YR.
- Assist with other non-construction projects requiring scheduling.
- Train personnel to be able to use planning software.
- General assistance on construction projects.
- Other tasks as may be relevant to position/team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant qualifications for project planning, minimum education requires of GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
- Minimum of 6 years of working in the construction or energy industries.
- Minimum of 5 years project planning experience, using MS Project, Primavera or similar software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; word and excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent English, verbal and written is mandatory. (Additional languages would be a benefit).
- Knowledge of solar, wind and other renewable technologies would be a benefit.
- Experience working and travelling globally would be an advantage.
